Today we’re featuring Fatima-Zahrae Abbadi who works as the Head of Quality Engineering at Odaseva and is based in Paris. Let’s dive in!

Q: Tell us about what you do here at Odaseva

A: At Odaseva, I serve as the Head of Quality Engineering, working closely with the R&D team. My primary responsibility is to ensure that our software products meet the highest quality standards before they reach our customers. This involves developing and implementing comprehensive testing strategies, managing a team of QA engineers, and collaborating with developers to identify and resolve defects early in the development cycle. I also focus on automating as many tests as possible to increase efficiency and accuracy.

Q: What’s the team that you work with like?

A: The R&D team at Odaseva is a dynamic and highly collaborative group, all of whom are passionate about technology and innovation. The team is supportive, open to new ideas, and always ready to tackle challenges together. Our culture emphasizes continuous learning and knowledge sharing, which creates a stimulating and motivating work environment.

Q: Why did you join Odaseva?

A: I joined Odaseva because I was impressed by the company’s mission to provide robust data management and security solutions for Salesforce customers. The opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology that addresses critical business needs was very appealing. Additionally, Odaseva’s commitment to innovation and its collaborative culture aligned well with my professional values and career goals

Q: What do you like about working at Odaseva?

A: The innovative and challenging projects keep me engaged and constantly learning. And the company’s culture of collaboration and support allows for open communication and teamwork, which enhances productivity and job satisfaction.

Q: How did you come to join the Salesforce ecosystem?

A: Odaseva is actually my first time working in the Salesforce ecosystem. Prior to joining Odaseva, I had experience in quality assurance and software testing in various other industries. The opportunity to work at Odaseva allowed me to dive into the Salesforce world, and I quickly became fascinated by the platform’s capabilities and its importance in managing and protecting data for enterprises. The comprehensive training and support provided by Odaseva enabled me to quickly get up to speed and contribute effectively to our projects

Q: What’s your proudest work-related accomplishment or project?

A:  One of my accomplishments at Odaseva has been improving the collaboration between the development and quality engineering (QE) teams. When I joined, I noticed opportunities to improve communication and collaboration between these teams. I took the initiative to foster a more collaborative environment and the QE became a part of the agile team.

In addition to enhancing collaboration, I also developed a clear and comprehensive strategy for our quality vision. This strategy involved setting up well-defined quality standards, implementing consistent testing procedures, and ensuring that everyone on the team understood and aligned with our quality goals. 

Q: What else can you tell us about yourself?

A: Outside of my professional life, I am passionate about continuous learning and personal development. I enjoy attending tech conferences and workshops to stay updated with industry trends and advancements. Additionally, I am an avid traveler and believe that exploring new cultures and places helps broaden my perspective.
