Following up on our previous interviews in the OdaTeam Spotlight Series, today we’re featuring Alexis Roques, a Product Manager based in Paris who joined Odaseva in 2022.

Let’s dive in!

Q: Tell us about what you do here at Odaseva

A: I like to see myself as the guy who makes everyone’s work more efficient, less repetitive and more fun.

I mainly work on improving the processes of our internal tools, and I manage a large portfolio of applications. I put my experience as a developer and my interpersonal skills at the service of the business operations team, and therefore, at the service of all of Odaseva.

Q: What’s the team that you work with like?

A: I feel like we’re an RPG adventure party, with the warrior, the huntress, the paladin, the ninja…and I personally see myself as the wizard. This configuration allows us to make the most of our strengths, and together, to forge an epic future for Odaseva.

The atmosphere within the team is united, jovial and caring. We are in an endless quest to improve our internal tools, and always have our users in mind.

Q: Why did you join Odaseva?

A: It was a former colleague who introduced me to Odaseva. I was interested in the idea of working with him again, and I immediately aligned myself with Odaseva’s philosophy and objectives. It’s not often that right after your job interview you are invited to a party with your future colleagues!

I have always been extremely curious (normal for a mage, you might say). From my initial discussions, I sensed that Odaseva would serve as a sandbox, that would allow me to experiment, enhance my skills, and breathe life into the ambitions that propel me forward.

Odaseva has a clear vision for success and the energy to actualize it. Now, I am an integral part of this dynamic energy.

Q: What do you like about working at Odaseva?

A: As a Product Manager, having the freedom to propose solutions is an immense luxury. Odaseva’s trust in me allows me to give my best. It’s an unspoken pact that fills me with pride.

This brings to mind an anecdote that illustrates the dynamic spirit that defines us: In my previous experiences, the process of assuming a new position has always taken very long – acquiring equipment, accreditations, access, information—this process could take several weeks.

When I arrived at Odaseva, not only were all my tools ready, but my mailbox had already been receiving messages for a month!

Q: How did you come to join the Salesforce ecosystem?

A: It’s my first experience with Salesforce. While I’ve encountered it before, I can’t say that I’ve used it a lot.

However, I must admit that it was easy to get started. The different development languages closely align with those I am familiar with, the documentation is rich and I have always found help internally (a special shout-out to all the Oda-experts who supported and advised me).

I hope to be able to pass the Admin certification soon.

Q: What’s your proudest work-related accomplishment or project?

A: We recently rolled out the “Contract Merge” tool on which I spent a lot of time. It posed a technical challenge for me but emerged as a long-awaited solution for the finance team and a portion of the Sales team. I take great pride in being able to propose and deliver projects of this nature, which not only ease the workload for Odanauts but also contribute to my personal growth.

Q: What else can you tell us about yourself?

A: I am a very creative person. I always have new projects in mind, but since I always start new ones, I very rarely finish the old ones. Right now, I’m working on a book and a board game. Maybe one day, who knows, I could introduce them to you!
